Highlights from the Long Island Motor Parkway Preservation Society Meeting

For the first time in over three years, the Long Island Motor Parkway Preservation Society held an in-person meeting last night in Bethpage. A great time was had by all.

Enjoy,

Howard Kroplick

Howard presented tributes to Tony Carroll, Sam Greco Tim Helck and Walt McCarthy, a profile of driver George Robertson, Willie K's Newport experience and Robert Moses Planning Map.

Peter Shriver, the grandson of George Robertson, answered questions from Howard and the audience.

Greg Oreiro presented the rediscovery of an extant section of the Motor Parkway in Bethpage.

Al Velocci, my favorite co-author, presented a review of seven Motor Parkway license plates which recently surfaced.

Looks like you had a terrific agenda of presentations Howard. Sorry I missed it due to a medical procedure I needed to have done.. Looking forward to the next one!
