Hemmings Classic Car Article “A Car from the Dawn of Cars”

This month's issue of Hemmings Classic Car featues an excellent article on the October sale of the 1884 De Dion Bouton Trepardoux Dos-A-Dos Steam Runabout, considered the world's oldest running car.

The article "A Car from the Dawn of Cars" was written by prominent collector Miles Collier and reviews the sale of the car, the final purchase price while providing insight into collecting a rare automobile.

Here are my photos of the steam runabout and a 6-minute video showing its sale at the Hershey RM Auction for an amazing $4.62 million (including commission), over twice the low estimate.
