A wonderful weekend to celebrate the centennial of the 1908 Vanderbilt Cup Race and the Long Island Motor Parkway at the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn, Harbor.

Ongoing Events

The exhibit "Treasures of the Vanderbilt Cup Races" opened today for the weekend at the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn Harbor. The exhibit includes several Peter Helck paintings, the Tiffany bronze plaque given to George Robertson for winning the 1908 Vanderbilt Cup Race, a 1905 poster, the sculpted head of George Heath and a 1928 porcelain license plate for the Long Island Motor Parkway. The exhibit was installed by Jorge Yanovich, Howard Kroplick and John Cuocco, seen in the above image from left to right.
