Driver of the Week: Eddie Hearne (1909, 1910 and 1915 Vanderbilt Cup Races)


Driver oif the Week is Eddie Hearne, who drove in the 1909 and 1910 Vanderbilt Cup Races.

1909 Vanderbilt Cup Race

Hearne in the #4 FIAT at the Old Country Road turn in Hicksville.

Hearne on the Newbridge Road Motor Parkway Bridge. The #4 FIAT would break a crankcase during lap 5 and finish 13th.


1910 Vanderbilt Cup Race

Eddie Hearne driving the #7 Benz at the Old Country Road/Ellison Road turn in Westbury. Although Hearne lead the most laps in the race, he finished 8th, averaing 61.2 mph.


1915 Vanderbilt Cup Race

Hearne drove the #21 Case to an 11th place finish.
