Kleiner’s Korner: “Rambling” to the 1906 Vanderbilt Cup Race
Like many other luxury auto manufacturers, Rambler published its own publication aptly named the "Rambler Magazine". One of its articles discussed the trip its reporters took from New York City to Long Island to report on the 1906 Vanderbilt Cup Race. I've included some other Rambler related items too.
The full Rambler article is also provided in pdf. All documents unless otherwise noted are from Rambler Magazine, editions 25 -51.

A 1am start from New York City. The author gives much credit to a Rambler for how the public heard about the race.
"An interesting turn", "speed monsters", "the tortuous oval"! The wording used by the article's author very much demonstrates his journalistic writing style.
A house blocks the way!
". . . they're off, get off the course"
The race is over, the reporters and photographers back in the office and the public reads about the race!

Note that the photos that accompany the article do not relate to the race! Not sure what that's all about.
